Post Workout Smoothie

This is my first installment of post workout smoothies. If you have suggestions for new workout smoothies let me know and I will post them for all others to enjoy. So with that said when you leave the gym you should start to eat something immediately. Smoothies are a great choice because they are simple to make and are easily digested into the body. Below is the first recipe that I will be posting for post workout smoothies. Enjoy!

Post Workout Fruit Smoothie* 1/2 - Banana, Frozen in Chunks
* 1/2 cup - Frozen Strawberries
* 1 cup - Orange Juice (juice with added calcium is even better)
* 1 scoop - Vanilla Protein Powder

To make this smoothie put all of the above ingredients in the blender and blend until smooth. This smoothie is packed full of vitamins and nutrition. Total Calories: 304

You can also substitute strawberries with peaches, blueberries or pineapple. To save time, halve a few bananas and store in a bag in the freezer. Use fresh berries, when possible. Clean and freeze for future use.
